Over the years, I have been to many conferences, mostly in the search marketing space. Since we don't officially sell "SEO services," although our sites are very search engine friendly, there is no real need for us to speak or exhibit at these conferences. I have spoken at several conferences, but it is a small percentage of the ones I attend.
I thought it might be useful to let you all know which conferences you can find me, Barry Schwartz, at in the second half of 2009. I will be speaking at some of these conferences.
SMX East is run by Third Door Media, which owns Search Engine Land. I am the news editor at Search Engine Land, so this conference means a lot to me. It is an excellent conference that is in New York City's Javits Center during October 5-7. It is jammed packed with 50+ sessions on SEO, PPC, social media, local & mobile search and more. So if you are in the area, you should stop by and say hi.
This conference is a sister conference with adTech and is formerly known as ADSPACE. It's focus is on contextual ads and marketing. This conference is on one day, November 5th, also at the Javits Center in NYC. I am speaking on a panel named The State of Contextual Advertising: USA vs. Global Trends, Strategic Overview and Emerging Trends with Tim Cadogan, CEO of OpenX, Sandy Kory, VP, Director of New Media and Technology of Media Venture Partners, Gil Abir, VP, Corporate Partnerships of Payoneer, Inc. and Dave Jacobs, Senior VP of Publisher Services of Platform-A. Should be fun.
A week later, I am flying to Las Vegas to speak at the very fun PubCon. PubCon is focused on webmaster related topics, including SEO, but also anything webmaster, like affiliate marketing, email marketing, blogging, social media, and so on. The conference is in the LAs Vegas Convention Center between the dates of November 10 and 13th. I will speaking on a fun panel named Search Bloggers : What's Hot and Trending? on November 12th at 2:55pm.
Search Engine Strategies Chicago:
The last conference I am attending this year, I believe, is SES Chicago. It runs December 7th through 9th and is mostly on search marketing topics. I don't think I will be speaking at this event, but you never know.
That is where you can find me through 2009. I hope to remember to post where I will be in 2010, which is really just around the corner. But I do hope to pay a visit to Israel in February and maybe speak at a few places in Israel, while I am there.
