I wanted to give you all a brief update on some of the recent updates that our apps have undergone. As many of you know, Apple released a major operating system update to the iPhone/iPod Touch platform named iOS4. This update allows some cool features and also broke some existing features in our apps. We have been releasing updates for Apple's approval for these apps and some have already been approved in the past 24 hours. Let me go through each one and also give you JUMBO app icons for being so cool about the wait.
Jewish Radio has an update which takes advantage of the background multi-tasking, letting you listen to music even when the app is closed. Now only that, you can also use the iPod controls to skip stations. All you need to do is double press the home key and slide the menu towards the right and you will see the controls. This is available for download and a free update.
Shabbat Shalom had a iOS4 bug that prevented people from adding new locations. That bug has been squashed and you can download a free update now to fix the issue. Have a good shabbos by the way!
Siddur update provides a Tefillin Mirror for iPhone 4 users. Note, there is a bug where the state of the smart siddur text does not change if left open. A fix is coming out really soon, hope to push it to Apple today so they can approve it soon. Stay tuned, because a lot of new features are coming with that, plus many text updates. Finally, Fluke was updated as well, to fix some iOS4 bugs and add more compatibility for iOS4. This is a free update and can be downloaded as well.
