At the end of last year we, by "we", I mean "me", decided to jazz up our conference room by adding some Philips Hue lights to our ceiling. We have one of those drop-down ceilings in our conference room, the ones that have the lights mounted behind a ceiling panels so you don't see the bulbs.
We installed a bunch of these hue bulbs and then powered them up. I can control them via my iOS devices HomeKit, Google Home or via a mobile app. There is really no utility for having these bulbs outside of it being fun. They do reduce the heat that the previous bulbs in that room emitted. They also use less power and energy.
On occassion we set the lights to a specific color to set the mood for the upcoming meeting. Heck, sometimes we change the color of the lights during the meeting to change our mood. And sometimes, I might play games with people while they are in a meeting or doing a video and change the colors of the lights to make them laugh.
